Cancellation Policy for Sponge Cakes
Once the order is placed, if it is then cancelled from the day of ordering until 14 days prior to the delivery date, the customer will incur a 20% cancellation fee of the total amount which has been paid. Between 14 and 7 days before the delivery date a 50% cancellation fee of the total amount will be incurred and from between 7 days and until the delivery or collection date the customer will be charged the full amount paid.
In the event of cancellation, work already completed will be charged.
Hire of Cupcake Stands
All equipment must be collected and returned by the customer (if the cake is being provided by Gardners Bakery Ltd, we may deliver and set up). Deposits and hire can be paid by debit/credit card or cash and must be paid in advance. The full hire charge, taken upon booking is £10.00.
A £75 deposit is due the week of the hire and is refunded upon satisfactory return of the item.
The rates above are for a period of 4 days. I.e. collect Friday – return Tuesday
A charge will be made for late return (3.50 per day) and forfeiture of the deposit if not returned within 10 days.
Collection and return times can be varied by individual arrangement to suit the customer only if agreed in advance of hire.
Damage or loss of equipment (or any part thereof) will result in forfeiture of the deposit and may lead to additional charges if this is insufficient to replace the item. Prices may be subject to change depending on supply cost changes, but these will always be notified in advance.
Customer Complaints
Corrections and repairs to cakes can be corrected on the same day in most cases. You are required to give us this opportunity and MUST let us know of the PROBLEM within ONE HOUR of ACCEPTING your cake. Some complaints may require further investigation and an immediate refund may not always be possible. Cakes, or parts of cakes, must be returned within three days to ensure we are able to fairly assess the nature of the complaint. The maximum refund we offer is the value of the cake, this excludes the delivery charge. Further compensation is not available. We will make every effort possible to ensure your cake exceeds your expectations. However, in some instances the finished product may differ slightly due to the fact that each cake is individually hand made. At all times we will endeavour to delight you with our quality of products and services.
We will not be held responsible for any damage caused to the cake, where it has been placed in unsuitable conditions.
These Terms & Conditions do not affect your Statutory Rights.
Loyalty Cards
Loyalty Cards are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
When you spend £15 or more on a sponge celebration cake you will earn one stamp. When all five boxes are full, you will receive a £10 voucher towards your next cake.
Vouchers will be issued on collection of the cake, not when you order and the bearer must present card on collection of cake for the stamp.
You will earn one stamp per cake order. You may only use one voucher per cake.
Vouchers cannot be redeemed on bakery goods, confectionery items, decorations etc.
